GIS Officer - Geographic Information Systems Specialist

As a GIS Officer, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to leveraging Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology to support our projects in East Kalimantan. In this role, you will work closely with our project teams to collect, analyze, and visualize spatial data to support decision-making processes. You will use industry-standard tools like ArcGIS, QGIS, and Google Earth Engine to create maps, models, and reports that inform our strategies and operations. This is a full-time position based in East Kalimantan, with a competitive salary of IDR 8,000,000 - 15,000,000 per month.
📋 Tanggung Jawab Pekerjaan
- Collect, manage, and analyze spatial data using GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and Google Earth Engine.
- Create maps, models, and reports to support project planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Work with project teams to integrate GIS data into decision-making processes.
- Conduct spatial analysis to identify trends, patterns, and relationships in environmental and agricultural data.
- Develop and maintain GIS databases and metadata standards.
- Provide technical support and training to project staff on GIS tools and techniques.
- Participate in fieldwork to collect and validate spatial data.
- Stay updated with the latest GIS technologies and industry best practices.
🎓 Kualifikasi & Syarat
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geomatics, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in GIS, with a strong background in spatial data analysis and visualization.
- Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and Google Earth Engine.
- Experience with spatial databases and metadata standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites in East Kalimantan.
